Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 2026
This policy applies to browsing pages, reading tutorials, and visiting download links on the V2Ray Windows Client website. The site provides client information and instructions; it does not provide proxy servers or subscription services. The site's data practices are separate from the network activity of a client after installation. Please review each separately.
1. What data we collect
This is a static content website. It does not offer user accounts, ask for your name, email address, or phone number, or provide comment forms that collect this information. You do not need to submit subscription links, node configurations, or client logs to read the tutorials. Actions described in a tutorial take place in your local client; simply viewing a page does not automatically upload your configuration.
When you visit a page, the servers and network infrastructure that deliver the site may log routine details such as your IP address, request time, URL path, response status, browser type, and referring page. These logs help deliver pages, diagnose errors, and detect unusual requests. An IP address does not by itself identify you by name, but it may be combined with other information to identify a visitor.
Do not include subscription links, account credentials, or other private information in URL query parameters. Request URLs may appear in access logs, so do not use website links to transmit sensitive information.
2. Analytics and how we use them
We use analytics to understand how people use pages, where visits come from, which device types they use, and how they access download platforms. Analytics may record page URLs, visit times, browser and operating system details, and actions such as switching download platforms. We use this information to improve documentation, find broken links, and make the site easier to use on mobile devices.
Analytics do not need to access node lists, proxy traffic, or subscription data stored in a local client. Website visit records also cannot show whether a client connected successfully. We do not use analytics data to create proxy service accounts or require browsing activity to be tied to your real name.
How long analytics data and operational logs are kept depends on service configuration and maintenance needs. This policy does not promise immediate deletion or a fixed retention period. Data should be handled only as needed to operate and improve the site; legal obligations are handled as required by applicable law.
3. Cookies and local storage
A static website can still use browser storage. Analytics may use cookies to distinguish visits; what gets stored depends on the analytics configuration and your browser settings. Your browser may also cache fonts, stylesheets, and scripts. Browser cache, cookies, and local storage are different mechanisms.
Menus and tabs may use temporary interface state. Download platform selections can also be restored using a URL fragment, without submitting personal information. The site does not ask you to save sensitive settings, such as subscription URLs or node keys, in its local storage.
Use your browser's site settings to view, restrict, or delete this site's cookies and site data. You can also enable the browser's tracking protection. Restricting storage or scripts may affect analytics accuracy, menu interactions, or updates to download links. Clearing browser data does not remove logs already recorded on servers.
4. Download sources and third-party links
The download page lists client downloads for v2rayN, v2rayNG, and v2flyNG. Download links are resolved through a same-origin version manifest. Files come from remote distribution sources for the respective project releases and may be served through download proxies or redirects. The site does not require an email address before you can download a file.
When you request a download, the server handling it may receive your IP address, request time, browser details, and the requested file path. After you visit a third-party page or distribution service, its own privacy policy governs how it handles data; this site's policy does not replace the third party's rules.
After you install a client, data handling by subscription providers, selected servers, and client features falls outside this site's scope. Review their policies and documentation. The presence of a tutorial on this site does not guarantee the privacy practices of any third-party service.
5. Policy updates and questions
If our analytics methods, download process, or data practices change, we will update this page and the last-updated month at the top. Because we do not collect subscription email addresses, we will not notify people individually by email about policy changes. Refer to the current version published here.
For help with importing subscriptions, proxy settings, or choosing a download, start with the Quick Start Guide. When troubleshooting, avoid publicly sharing full logs or screenshots that contain access credentials. To reduce data collected by this site, restrict browser storage and analytics requests, and do not include private information in links.
